The role
People Business Partner £45,687 - £51,609 per annum (dependent on experience*) plus £4,611 London Weighting if applicable. Negotiable, 35 Hours per week, fixed term until 31 December 2024. At the Royal College of Nursing we're an optimistic organisation. And we've got good reason to be.

This is a fantastic opportunity for forward thinking HR professionals to join our progressive award winning People team.

As a People Business Partner, you'll use your positive attitude, People and OD knowledge and your communication and influencing skills to support Executive Directors and Senior Managers to achieve our shared organisational objectives.

In particular, you will implement HR systems, processes and practice that support the RCN's strategic aims and operational plans.

You will design, develop and implement solutions across the breadth of People & OD activity that address actions emanating from your insights, supporting your stakeholders to anticipate and respond to organisational issues.

Every day will be filled with possibilities as you find new ways to shape change and nurture the development of the business by delivering a robust and proactive People service.

As a senior member of the People Business Partnering Team, you'll line manage a People Adviser to oversee employment relations cases within your nominated business units.

You will provide confidential advice and guidance and assist with the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of local and organisational change.


The person

You will be an excellent communicator who is confident at expressing your own point of view in challenging circumstances; and skilled at both fostering constructive working relationships with management and building genuine partnership with trade unions.

Possessing an excellent working knowledge of across the breadth of the CIPD profession map, you will hold CIPD membership supported by a Level 7 qualification in HR Management or equivalent.
