Overview of the role
The Transformation team within Amex GBT has the mission of creating value for the enterprise by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to increase organisational effectiveness and efficiency through complex problem solving, cross-functional change efforts, end-to-end process transformation and strategic integration or divestitures.
The Senior Strategy Consultant, Strategic Transformation is a key role on the team and a change agent for the organisation, who contributes towards the development of the strategic transformation pipeline and the delivery of solutions maximising growth and improving business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be working as part of a team to define and document the upfront strategy for a particular initiative or project (Project Discovery phase). To provide examples, projects could include, the future of CRM or use of automation to drive efficiency in the Customer Servicing team
- Leverage industry expertise, benchmarks, analyticsbased insights and research to support business and benefits case creation for a particular project
- Present findings to team members, clients and other senior stakeholders
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation (Customer Servicing Team, Technology, HR, Finance, Commercial for example) to deliver on the strategic projects
- Support project management activities including stakeholder communication, planning and governance
- Contribute to change management activities
Requirements to succeed:
- We are looking for an individual who is innovative and able to solve complex business problems. Ideally the individual will have 36 years of experience working in a consulting firm or industry consulting experience (although this is not a prerequisite)
- An analytical mind with the ability to collect, interpret and analyse data and present their thinking and hypothesis back to the team
- An effective communicator, with strong presentational abilities (both written and verbal) and an ability to build relationships across the business. The individual should have the confidence to challenge the status quo
- Strong organisational abilities and experience with project management activities (planning and RAID management for example)
- Proven record of managing competing priorities to deliver results in complex, multistakeholder matrixed environment
- A team player who will work as part of a diverse team to address and solve some of the businesses' most important problems
