Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide care and assistance to individuals in need.

As a
Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide quality care in various settings.


Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care when needed and support to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times

Skills:

• To reduce reoffending by the delivery of high quality accommodation and community based services
• To ensure the health and wellbeing of clients through managing safeguarding issues, sharing good practice and managing risk effectively
• Experience in hospice care, nursing, or a related field is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide compassionate and patientcantered care
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• IT skills is needed, although training is provided

Driving experience is needed, personal car is an added advantage

Salary:
£11.00-£13.32 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
