Pattern Maker - GloucesterPermanent - Salary up to £32,000 DOE
Full-time - 37.5, Monday to Thursday 8-16:45, Friday 8-12:30
The Role:
- Maintenance of tools and equipment which includes cleaning and safe storage
- Constructing patterns and moulds from metal, wood and composite materials from drawings and CAD data
- Liaising with customers and contractors
- Carrying out day to day production as required, in line with manufacturing instructions
- Adhere to recommended stock controls as informed by the Pattern shop Manager
- Assisting in research and development duties when required
- CNC Programming
- Visiting sites when required
- Maintain a good standard of housekeeping and ensure the working environment is clear of waste on an ongoing basis
- Reduce waste and ensure all waste materials are disposed of in accordance with company and legislative procedures
- Understanding and have good knowledge of composites, woodworking,and metalwork
- Work independently on set tasks
- Some experience in CNC programming would be desirable but not essential
- Experience in setting up and operating machines such as;sanders, circular saws, band saws, mills and lathes
- Able to demonstrate high attention to detail
- Able to work effectively, both as part of a team and autonomously, consistently to high standards of accuracy and quality
- Proficient in clear, written,and verbal communication skills in English
