Our Offer:

Capgemini Engineering are looking for a Landing Gear Technical Lead to join our expanding team in Bristol.


Your Role:


  • Evaluation of design solutions to meet current and future programme requirements, assessment of proposed design performance/risk and the selection of optimal solutions from both a technical and project/programme perspective.
  • Knowledge of Airbus PMT for 1YL perimeter
  • LGS Qualification activities; selection of Qualification/test methodologies where appropriate and monitoring Equipment/Assemblylevel physical test, modelling & simulation activities
  • Experience in writing technical specifications both at equipment as well as at system level.
  • Supporting LGS integration through maturation of system/subsystem interface documents
  • Landing Gear system/subsystem Qualification and Certification activities to deliver future MAS and inservice modifications/repairs, including Qualification planning, oversight and evaluation of evidence.
  • Definition and oversight of Test and Evaluation activities, including physical test and modelling/simulation campaigns in support to Landing Gear system/subsystem Compliance Verification.
  • Assess T&E plans/procedures and improve/amend where required System and subsystemlevel requirements management and generation of system/subsystemlevel specifications for the Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre and Brake as required by the programme.

So, what do you need?:


  • A basic awareness of Aircraft and Aircraft System Qualification and Certification.
  • Development and study of different Landing gear systems.
  • Verification & Validation.
  • Analysing the results from lab and flight test.
  • Catia V5, MSC ADAMS, MALAB, Simulink or IBM DOORS.

Your Security Clearance:

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.


There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.


There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
