This role involves providing mechanical engineering function for the safety critical rail industry.
Ideally you will have a strong background in mechanical engineering/transport overhaul, repair and quality investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform condition assessments on products that have been in the field to allow creation of overhaul and repair Bill of Materials.
Create of Bill of Materials for overhauls and repairs.
Reliability testing, including use of vibration, environmental and other validation techniques.
Producing specifications including test specifications.
Performing failure investigations, fault finding on products in the field, identifying robust solutions where applicable.

Who are we looking for?

Engineering degree or equivalent experience
Excellent problemsolving skills
Knowledge of mechanical discipline within the transport sector is desirable
Knowledge pneumatical systems is desirable
Minimum of 5 years in an industrial engineering role desirable
Have an enquiring and probing nature capable of policing design and development activities to demonstrate compliance of products in accordance with applicable standards and specifications
