Step Forward Tuition are recruiting a part time tutor to work in our growing tuition business. These positions will start as soon as possible.

You will tutor GCSE students in year 10 & 11 in either English, Maths or Science. These positions will be based at our Tuition Centre in Whitefield.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Provide one to one and group tuition (maximum 8 students) between the hours of 3.45pm until 8.30pm Monday to Wednesday (hours are flexible and can be worked around your commitments).
Tailor lesson content according to the individual pupil's needs, following a specific lesson plan.
Attend meetings when required.
Keep detailed records of pupil's lessons and progress.
Provide parents with feedback on the progress of their children.
Have degree level education. (A teaching assistant qualification or similar may also be acceptable)
Have Maths, English and Science GCSE qualifications of level A-C.
Be able to communicate with clear and fluent speech.
Dress smartly when teaching and maintain a tidy working environment.
Be punctual.
Be able to teach the course material.

Preferred (but not essential):

Some teaching experience.
Experience working with children.

Please note that this role will require that you become registered as self-employed.

Part-time

Part-time hours: 10 per week

Salary:
£10.00-£55.00 per hour
