Assistant Structural Engineer

Are you an experienced Graduate Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want more responsibility and the chance to show what you can do?

This is a great opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that'll provide them with the platform to become a well-rounded Structural Engineer with a vast array of experience.

In this role, you'll have the chance to work on a range of projects across numerous sectors - Education, Retrofit & Reuse, Conservation, Residential, Leisure/Sport, and more This variety keeps the role fresh and exciting, alongside providing the vital experienceyou need to progress toward Chartered status.

Responsibilities/Requirements - Assistant Structural Engineer

Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, documents, and specifications
Check the work/specifications of other new Graduate Structural Engineers
Complete calculations about loads and stresses
Consider the appropriate construction materials
Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval
Liaise with relevant professionals such as architects, whilst monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
Set up, manage and review job/project administrative systems, including planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditure
Undertake detailed engineering design for building structures
Inspecting properties to check conditions/ foundations
