The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management to enable the group to deliver its people plan/objectives, alongside growth & profit.
The position formulates partnerships across the HR functionto deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives.
You will be responsible for delivery of the HR people plan for your respective regions as well as supporting your Regional Director in Employee Engagement, thedelivery of training, change management, succession planning / talent forums & employee relations / HR metrics.
You will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business financial position & future goals.You will work in partnership withthe Regional Operations Directors to create a high performing culture, with the right people, working in the right place.
Main Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesTo provide Branch support to the Retail Group including, but not limited to:
- Builds trusted relationships with key stakeholders, management and colleagues on all aspects of HR support and implementation of HR strategies, priorities and programs.
- Builds effective relationships with all teams including Senior & Executive teams
- Consults with Regional Directors & branches providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Coach managers/RD/business units through organisation, legal and business change; help create and maintain a work environment with high morale, engagement and productivity, identify and facilitate practical and timely solutions that best meet the needs ofthe business.
- Analyses HR trends and in partnership with the HR Director to develop programs, and policies that add value to the business.
- Analyses all HR metrics & delivers solutions and next steps through coaching BM's / RD's
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations into the relevant issues.
- Maintains indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring compliance. Partners with Halborns as needed/required on IE matters.
- Provides daytoday performance management guidance to Regional Directors & branches (e.g., coaching, career development, disciplinary actions, PiPs)
- Supports Regional Directors with People HR Recruitment requests & support growth including DE&I.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to address all levels of the business and gain consensus.
- High level of competency in manipulating and interpreting data for the purpose of analytics and insights.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organisation's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Establish an effective working relationship with all employees and lead by example.
- Assist the Branch Manager and Regional Director / Managing Director in the motivation and management of employees to meet operational needs and achieve branch objectives.
- Ensure that customers are attended to politely and promptly.
- Lead an efficient and effective team that can meet the customers' expectations.
- Drive high health and safety standards.
- Lead by example and create a team that cares about company reputation and individuals who feel valued by the company.
- Strive at all times to maintain and develop productive and effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
