My client is a divisional business of a leading PLC within the Manufacturing.
As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join the business.
REPORTS TO:
Finance Manager
Job Purpose:
Finance Assistant required to work in a busy finance team working alongside the Finance Manager. An excellent opportunity to gain a variety of experience in all areas of accounts in an exciting growing business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Production and review of management accounts and postings within the ERP systems.
- Point of contact for Regional teams and branches.
- Review of key control accounts including inventory, trade debtors & creditors
- Other accounting duties such as bank reconciliation, coding & posting of entries.
- Assisting the Finance Manager in the timely and accurate preparation of supplier payments whether by bacs, foreign payment transfer or manual cheques.
- Potential to expand role and gain additional experience in all areas of finance through project work and ad hoc tasks.
Key Experiences:
- Experience of working in a similar or varied role in a busy accounts department
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Good organisational skills, able to manage a busy, varied workload and meet tight deadlines
- Confident telephone manner
- Good IT skills including using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Flexibility and willingness to learn, take on new tasks and adapt to the needs of the department / business
Desirables Skills, Qualifications Required:
- Experience of using Sage and Navision Accounting Software highly desirable but training will be provided
- Ideally hold or working towards an Accounting qualification e.g. AAT, study support will be considered where appropriate
