Are you an aspiring Semi-Senior Accountant ready to join a progressive and fast-moving firm? Are you looking for an opportunity to have ownership and control of your own client portfolio?

We are actively recruiting a Semi-Senior Accountant to join an award-winning and readily expanding firm in Thames Ditton, Surrey.

The position is full time and the salary is up to £32,000 FTE (DOE).

You will be a confident communicator with both clients and colleagues, have great work ethic, have excellent time-management skills and great attention to detail.

Your duties:

Supporting a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
Preparation of accounts and financial statements
Preparing and calculating corporation tax computations
Preparation of management accounts
Preparation of Director selfassessment tax returns
Support in personal tax compliance and advice work
Review and approval of VAT returns
First point of contact for your clients' queries regarding their accounts

What you'll bring to the table:

Studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA (or AAT and CTA with accounts experience)
2+ years experience with an accountancy practice
Great attention to detail
Adept and comfortable communicating with colleagues and clients
Experience with Xero, Quickbooks and Iris Accounts Production/Personal Tax preferred
A cando attitude to problem solving
Reliable and effective workload management
Driven by growth and change management
Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom

Rate of pay:
Up to £32,000 FTE DOE, plus life assurance, training and support for studies, and up to 15% bonus
