Forest Row based, near to East Grinstead.
Due to rural workplace location it is essential to drive and have your own transport - plenty of free parking on site.
Salary:
£36000 per year plus very good company benefits
We are delighted to be working alongside our established and successful global client as they seek to recruit a Pharmaceutical Applications Specialist to join their UK Forest Row office on a permanent basis.
The role:
The Pharmaceutical Applications Specialist will contribute to the organisations understanding of the pharmaceutical market, customer satisfaction and business growth within the sector.
This opportunity will require the ability to effectively communicatewith customers on a personal and scientific level, determine their needs and generate positive outcomes.
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is essential with a working knowledge of physicochemical drug properties and formulation developmenta distinct advantageDuties and responsibilities:
Liaise with existing and potential customers to define scope of work and clarify testing/analysis requirements for consultancy projects.
Implement and project manage experimental work.
Write/review reports, discuss outcomes, and agree next steps with customer.
Prepare relevant documentation to support Analytical Service operations; SOP, protocols, controlled drugs, admin documentation (e.g., CDA, MSA), etc. Similarly, support audit procedures and qualifications.
Assist in the development of new Analytical Service products. Generate Pharmaceutical Application Notes and other marketing collateral.
Support in-house and external training courses, installations and demonstrations as required
Assist with research projects as required
Contribute to the safe operation of company laboratories
Support Software and hardware department for Development projects
Represent the company at meetings with customers and at conferences as required.
Competencies required:
Excellent ability in both written and verbal communication.
Comfortable with Scientific and commercial interactions to a senior level.
Well-developed report writing and presentation skills.
Customer service driven
Able to maintain high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong planning and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with changing priorities easily.
The position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel.
Valid driving license and passport essential
Ability to lift 25 kilos
Education and Experience required:
Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacy (or Chemistry with equivalent experience) required; advanced degree in similar area is a plus
Minimum 3 years work experience in the pharmaceutical industry required
Knowledge of PhysChem Properties +/or Dissolution will be advantageous
Proficiency with MS Office packages
