Requirements:

Competent understanding of Microsoft office, AutoCAD and willing to learn other software.

Solution focused attitude with attention to detail mindset.

Attend the LIA Certificate Course within first 6 months to develop a foundation knowledge of light and lighting.

We require a pass to complete your probation, with excellence in this course helping you in your day-to-day work and towards future goals.


Job role:

Responsible for product and project drawings, ensuring information is kept up to date.

Document and issue action points at product development sessions, covering manufacturing, design, cost, and lighting performance.

Ensuring product technical construction information is kept up to date.

Working well in our team, assisting on projects where necessary and with suppliers and customers.

Developing a competent knowledge of our products, lighting, and compliance to industry regulations.

Learning manufacturing processes and challenges from our onsite production factory, building your lighting and manufacture knowledge.

Assisting with lighting and energy surveys onsite, to be able to independently survey in future.


With progress to:


Using lighting software to conduct lighting calculations for projects, taking design responsibility and collaborating with the project team on lighting requirements.

Developing CAD and technical lighting knowledge in lighting design and product design.


Keeping up to date with relevant lighting industry courses and events relating to technical, lighting and compliance, communicating key findings back to management and colleagues as required.

Building professional working relationships with our supply chain to help in developing new & effective product solutions.

Understanding and maintaining our product bill of materials on our live stocking system.


Terms & Conditions
This is a full-time position available immediately, based at our office in Mitcham, Surrey.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm and there will be opportunity for paid overtime during busy periods, to be agreed with your line manager.

Holiday is 20 days per year, plus bank and national holidays. We also operate a seasonal shutdown period between Christmas and New Year.
We do not believe in a strict dress code, however please dress appropriately for a working environment. We have various company branded merchandise that you can request.

If you have other commitments that could impede some of these working hours, we will need to be made aware of these and could discuss a different arrangement for the right person.
