We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced conflicts professional to join a leading global law firm and their world-renowned conflicts team in Belfast.


You must have at least 4 years of conflicts experience gained within a law firm to be considered for this job.

You will also need to be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritise workload.


Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring workload and allocating work to the conflicts team
  • Identifying conflicts searches requiring more detailed analysis
  • Improving team processes and developing and maintaining internal databases
  • Acting as an escalation point for unresolved queries, providing advice and making decisions
  • Performing AML, background and conflicts checks on new clients and matters
  • Checking identity documents for new and existing clients
  • Authorising the opening of new legal matters when checks have been completed
  • Resolving legal and business conflict issues in consultation with senior management
  • Implementing information barriers to enhance internal security of information
  • Monitoring and recording terms of engagement
  • Monitoring service levels provided
  • Developing knowledge of global regulatory requirements
  • Upgrading business acceptance policies and procedures
