We are recruiting a full-time receptionist for our veterinary surgery, Celyn Vets, in Abergele.
Job Summary
As the face of the business, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' needs are met in a professional and efficient manner.
You will be taking calls, booking appointments, taking payments, completing forms and undertaking general office duties.Key Responsibilities
- Receive and deal with clients in a pleasant prompt manner
- Booking appointments for clients
- Keeping the appointment diary up to date
- Setting up new clients on the computer system
- Ensuring client details and records are up to date
- Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries in a positive, efficient and friendly manner
- Processing payments for clients and pursuing any debts in accordance with practice policy
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and welcoming
- Attending all practice meetings
- Assisting throughout the practice and performing other tasks and duties as and when required.
- At least 12 months administration experience preferred but not essential
- Exceptional communication skills essential
- Organised and flexible with an ability to multi task
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Computer literate with an ability to use various inhouse computer systems
- Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Above all love animals
The successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week on a rota system. In addition there will also be the requirement to cover sickness and holidays.
In return you will become part of a dedicated team in a successful business.
The successful applicant will receive full training, 20 days holiday pro rata, and uniform. Salary will be dependent on experience and discussed at interview.

The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk duties of the company.
This position will be responsible for the daily receptionist duties, including answering the phone, greeting visitors, and other duties as assigned.
The Receptionist will also maintain the reception area and greet visitors upon arrival.Essential Job Functions:
- Greet visitors upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Answer incoming calls and transfer them to appropriate person or department.
- Collect payments at the register and process payments for credit cards, cash, checks, etc.
- Enter sales tax and other local government tax payments into computer system.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain office cleanliness and general organization.
- Respond to customer complaints or concerns; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Participate in meetings with other employees and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 12 years of previous receptionist experience required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online software. Must be proficient in Windows PC environment. Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple interruptions throughout the day. Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision. Must be able to work under tight deadlines
