Business Development Executive - Education Insurance

Location:
Bristol (Tuesday-Thursday office Monday and Friday WFH)


Salary:

The Company:


Capio Recruitment are working with a national insurance broker who are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team (which is based in Bristol).


Working for one of the most respected and renowned broking firms in the UK, you will work in specialist niche areas of education insurance (staff absence).


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive to join the team and support their continued growth and success.


The Role:


Working in a specialist area of insurance (Education) you will focus on developing relationships and placing new business into specialist insurer (underwriters) markets.

You will have an autonomous role which requires new business and personable skills,combined with technical insurance knowledge and broking skills.


You will have lead opportunities available to you in terms of renewal dates and educational centres who have confirmed a desire for an insurance quotation.

This can be dealt with from an office, however on some occasion face to face client meetings are requiredat the clients site.

This is an important role and an excellent opportunity to develop and strengthen the company's strong market presence.

The role is results-orientated so a driven and focused individual who seeks to be visible and commended based on performance is ideal.

  • Join a forward thinking insurance brokerage, their reputation within the insurance market will already have you one step ahead
  • Liaising with members of the lead generation team to maximise on opportunities
  • Ensuring company procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Using in depth research and market knowledge to continually develop and expand portfolios across various educational centres (Schools, Colleges, Universities etc)
  • Developing internal and external relationships to ensure opportunities are maximised to their full extent

Skills:


  • Proven experience in a relatable role (sales) in the insurance industry is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of the educational sector is ideal but not essential
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to build relationships and knowledge of the insurer market
  • Demonstrable track record of success and tangible outcomes to support objectives
  • Excellent stakeholder skills with a 'cando' attitude
