Description
To support the smooth running of the pharmacy dispensary. To ensure that there is effective and efficient stores and distribution service wherever required.

  • Ensure correct and safe unloading of goods.
  • Ensure goods are correctly recorded and distributed.
  • Ensure delivery notes are checked and discrepancies are sorted.
  • Ensure the receipt and distribution service achieves the agreed level of quality required by the trust.
  • Assist in the process of invoice payment through electronic systems.
  • Assist in communication with suppliers to resolve stock issues.
  • Assist with distribution of goods to the Trust under our wholesale license.
  • Work effectively as a Team.
  • To undertake other roles within the department as requested by the pharmacy management team. In particular supporting activities around the patient flow.
  • To undertake personal development as identified through performance and appraisal reviews.


The Christie NHS Foundation Trust manages the Christie Hospital which is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe.

The Christie treats 40,000 patients per year, delivering over 30,000 chemotherapy treatments and is the first specialist hospital to be awarded 'outstanding' twice by the Care Quality Commission.


The Christie NHS Foundation Trust are investing heavily in the pharmacy service, provided by TCP, over the next twelve months.

A brand new, state of the art, outpatient dispensary is currently under construction and is due to open in Spring

  • Assist in the process of invoice payment through electronic systems.
