Description
To oversee the Hotel during the hours of 11pm and 7am as part of the Night Team.

This multi-purpose role is an essential part of Hotel Operations to ensure the safety, security and seamless shift from Night to Day.


Front Desk

  • Takeover from the Late Receptionist and Duty Manager and receive any handover notes
  • Complete remaining checkins offering all guests a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Respond to guest requests and ensure they are dealt with efficiently and professionally to ensure the guests suffer minimum disruption during their stay.
  • Provide a Night Drinks service to guests
  • Complete all front desk and end of day procedures as detailed in the Night Brand Standards
  • Handover to the Early Receptionist and complete a handover ensuring any issues are resolved / communicated.

Safety & Security

  • Take responsibility for all aspects of safety and security during the Night Shift
  • Ensure all Safety & Security procedures are followed in line with the Night Brand Standards
  • Ensure all hotel departments and areas are locked down safely and securely.
  • Be able to identify any major safety issues i.e. gas, electrics, leaks and be able to react accordingly.
  • Be able to safely evacuate the Hotel in the event of a fire / emergency and follow the correct evacuation guidelines.

Meeting & Events

  • Review the weekly function sheets and ensure all setups and preparation are completed as detailed.
  • Ensure all setup and presentations are completed to the Meeting & Event Brand Standards
  • Ensure daily communications and handovers with the Meeting & Events Team remain consistent to prevent any issues occurring.
  • Completing cleardowns and resets of all Meeting & Event spaces.

General Duties & Cleaning

  • Support the Food & Beverage Team end of shift procedures locking areas, switching off lights and air con units, collecting glasses and leaving areas ready for the next day.
  • Clearing items from Hotel corridors / public areas and returning them to their correct location
  • Cleaning and maintaining the Hotel front entrance on a daily basis following the cleaning procedures provided.
  • Cleaning both front of house and back of house areas and any other cleaning duties required.
