CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Fermentation Scientist to join a biotechnology company based in London on a permanent basis.


The Company:


Our client is on a mission to transform industrial chemical processes using cell-free biomanufacturing to empower users with the world's most advanced, flexible and easily-scalable biocatalyst platform.


Benefits:

Salary between £45.000-£50.000 depending on experience, plus benefits including 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and stock options plan.

As a Senior Fermentation Scientist, you will perform batch and fed-batch fermentations to express enzymes in-house, and perform downstream processing and quality control steps to ensure batch-to-batch reproducibility.

Additionally, you may be required to optimisefermentation conditions to maximise yield, taking on additional fermentation challenges such as the fermentation of new microorganism strains.


  • Experience with people management in an industrial environment.
  • Industrial experience running fedbatch fermenters.
  • Extensive handson experience with E.coli fermentation technology for protein production with industrial experience.
  • Experience optimising microbial growth and protein expression in bioreactors.
