About us

In March 2019, Ali Thomas and Sophie Peach set up Shrewsbury Cup CIC, the UK's first Deposit-Return scheme for reusable coffee cups with the aim of eradicating waste from single use paper cups.

This is run as a membership scheme for cafes across the town to enable them to offer their customers a sustainable solution for take-out drinks.

Our aim is to offer a model for re-use which can ultimately be scaled up for adoption across the UK.

We're all about changing behaviour and to do this successfully solutions need to be quick and easy to adopt. In 2023 we will be launching the Shrewsbury Cup App.


Specific tasks will include:
Monthly F2F contact with each of the 20 Shrewsbury Cup outlets

The collation of stories and content for social media posts

Support in the launch and drive uptake of Shrewsbury Cup App through running promotions, attending events and running stalls where the cup is being used.

Front end training on app functionality to be able to explain with confidence about how the app works to the general public.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months

Part-time hours: 15 per week


Salary:
£13.50 per hour

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

• Digital marketing: 1 year (preferred)
