About the job SRM Recruitment are partnering with a fast paced, scaling PE backed fintech organisation in London, in their search for a Commercial Finance Manager. This is a newly created role.

The business is backed by two leading mid-market PE firms with a track record of successful investments in the technology sector.

Under their ownership, there is an ambitious agenda of organic growth and M&A to drive future expansion.

Similarly they are looking to invest further in their small finance function, but in particular around the commercial finance architecture and the value creation this offers.

Role context:

Under the ownership of their PE backers, there is an ambitious agenda of organic growth and M&A to drive future expansion and this newly created role will play its part in developing a commercial finance offering to underpin this.

This role sits within evolving,dynamic environment, in an organisation that has investment backing and aspiration for rapid expansion, but with the infrastructure needed to support that expansion still a work-in-progress.

Key deliverables:

Playing a key role in the production of monthly reports to the Board of Directors; coordinating the delivery of inputs from across the business, providing support wherever necessary to ensure deadlines are met and outputs meet the required high standard
Industrialising insights into productlevel profitability, including developing business cases for investing in new product lines and enabling datadriven decision making
Working with the broader finance team to produce bestinclass management information, insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance
Developing key dashboards that focus the business on critical leading indicators and KPIs that appraise new customer acquisition and ongoing customer management; whilst implementing loweffort / highlyrepeatable processes to ensure they are accuratelymeasured and monitored
Take ownership of and continuously improve detailed financial models (profit and loss / balance sheet / cashflow), updating for changes in the business to create revised forecasts where required
Developing financial models to determine cost and revenue synergies from potential M&A opportunities
A qualified chartered accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA etc), having trained with one of the Big '4' firms (a Transaction Services background is highly desirable), coupled with experience of industry experience in a Commercial Finance / FP&A focused role
Experience of a privateequity environment, M&A, and the software industry would be beneficial but not a prerequisite.
