We are looking for a creative, innovative and enthusiastic Residential Care Officer Level 3 for Eastgate.

You will have the ability to provide care and control to Young People, whilst assisting to help make a difference in their lives and to help lead the care team on a day to day basis.


About the role


Working as a Residential Care Officer Level 3 you will join an established and experienced care team in the mentoring of children and young people who have experienced challenging and traumatic life events.


Your role will be middle management involving the leadership and development of the team, alongside working with the young people.

The management of the staff will involve supervisory responsibilities, to attend and participate in multiagency working and evidence and promote standards.


As a Residential Care Officer Level 3 you will be required to assume responsibility for the home in the absence of a senior member of staff.


You will ensure all our Residential Care Officers create an environment that involves relationship building and creating routines and boundaries that promote a safe and nurturing environment.

This role is offered on a full time/permanent basis where you will work a shift pattern. This involves working a 7 day period (including sleep-ins and being on-call).

The home is in Sleaford, it is a long term Children's Home which provides care for children and young people between the ages of 8 and 18.

About you
We are looking for someone who is

  • Passionate about the care of children and young people, you will be able to create an environment where children can feel safe, nurtured and at home.
  • Emotionally resilient and naturally curious as the duties you carry out can have lifechanging results.
  • Qualified with a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willing to complete QCF Leadership and Management level 4/5 and relevant T C I training.
  • Able to develop staff through good example; supervision and appraisal within required timescales.
  • Computer literate and who has a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, leadership and negotiation skills.
