Description

  • Business Partnering
  • Creating the bridge between Finance and the business to support them with financial and commercial queries and decisions.
  • Supporting the Financial Section Manager for various departments within the business with decisions focused around SGA (Selling and General Administration cost) activity and effective utilisation of budget spend.
  • Carry out adhoc reporting and analysis using statistical and financial information when required.
  • Responsible for monthend actuals reporting, plus the budgeting and planning process Customer division submission
  • Delivering accurate monthly SGA reporting, analysing variances against budget.
  • Remaining budget analysis, to include consideration of future risks relating to over/underspends.
  • Support the HME cost centre managers with variance analysis.
  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly budgets and support longer term plans:
  • Create and own the SGA plan for the completion of the budget.
  • Provide commercial input to support business for budget planning.
  • Review for reasonableness and challenge the business where appropriate.
  • Responsible for accurate submission of approved budgets as part of HME submission.
  • Key contributor towards the development of financial reporting within the businesses.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and investigations proactively when required on all SGA related queries.
  • Drive accountability for and monitor progress towards achievement of targets through preparation of reviews and regular meetings with the business.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Pan E variance analysis for SGA for inclusion in monthly board reporting
  • Adhoc Capex planning and budgeting
  • Duty reconciliations and process improvement for overseas duty passing through HME
  • Drive best practice, efficiencies, change and strategy
  • Play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function.
  • Build relationships between HME BA and the SSC, taking responsibility for continual improvement, efficiency saving and standardisation.

Profile

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA part oqualified
  • Proactive approach and determination to resolve issues
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Selfmotivated and proactive, with a 'cando' attitude
  • Strong system skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
