**Business Development Manager
**Covering London and the SE Region
£60 - 70k basic plus 10% bonus and attractive benefits package


We're looking for a Business Development Manager to engage and sell technology and business transformation consultancy solutions into manufacturing SME's within the London and South East region of England.


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Selling manufacturing solutions (Technology Adoption, Robotics & Automation, Digitisation, Business Transformation, Product Innovation, Energy Transformation, Supply Chain Optimisation) to target SME's
  • Becoming the "Community Hub" person that SME's revert to when they need help and support to transform and grow their manufacturing business
  • Generating leads and qualifying opportunities, developing your network of lead sources, writing proposals, using your technical sales and business consultancy experience
  • Maintaining account management responsibility throughout the delivery project cycle

The ideal Business Development Manager will have:

  • A technical sales and automation / technology background gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Can confidentially do a "Line Walk" in a factory environment and be able to spot inefficiencies in production
  • Understand manufacturing processes, manufacturing technologies and systems
  • Consultative / solution sales experience within a Manufacturing, Systems Integrator and/or Engineering environment selling services rather than products
  • Financially literate and commercially numerate
  • An agile mind with a passion for transformation
  • Good networker and influencer
  • Be living within the London / SE area of England


This role would suit a commercially minded Manufacturing professional who has manufacturing production and sales experience working with UK SME's.

The Business Development Manager should have sold services rather than products with a manufacturing production,technology and business transformation background.
