Senior Sales Representative - Wear Products
Delaware / Newport PA
We are looking for a high-quality salesperson with a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial sales of friction related materials, wear parts, composite materials, or bearings, to sell our wide range of market leading, technically advanced compositewear parts and materials into a wide range of industries.
An educational background in business, material sciences and/or engineering is an asset to this position, but an entrepreneurial spirit and great work ethic are even more important.
An excellent compensation package is on offer, including health and dental coverage, as well as additional bonuses and incentives.
This position reports directly to the Vice President North America with a strong dotted line to the Global Wear ProtectionSales Director.
Work requires overnight travel to visit customers in the US and Canada probably once a month, in addition to regular business meetings at the North American headquarters in Wilmington, DE and may require occasional travel to corporate headquarters in theUnited Kingdom.

- Strong presentation, organization and time management skills
- Strong networking skills, with connections into industries using composite materials
- Basic knowledge of popular CRM software
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, Material Sciences or Engineering preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
- Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
- Gathering market and customer information.
- Representing our Client at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
- Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.
- Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
- Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office or entering figures into a computer system.
- Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
- Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues.
They operates an ISO 9001:2018 Quality Management System for the design, development and manufacturing of specialized high performance engineering materials and components.
They are part of a larger group is a multinational corporation with fully owned subsidiaries and presences in the United Kingdom, the USA, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Italy, supported by a global network of vendors and distributors.
