An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Processing Supervisor (PM) to join us to lead the Processing Team throughout the PM operation.

The hours are normally 16:00-00:00 hours a week, but a flexibility is required as hours may vary.

*Purpose*Reporting to the Hub Manager, the Processing Supervisor is responsible for delivering effective management of the warehouse operational function and any processing activity required throughout the PM shift. Ensuring that all vehicles are prepared correctly, all mail is despatched within agreed timescales and mail processing is running at an optimum level. They will also act as point of contact for Drivers; providing debriefing support as appropriate until the day staff arrive.

*Main Duties:

  • Ensure all unsorted work is processed within agreed customer SLA's.
  • Drive productivity and quality within the Bulk team.
  • Review and resolve noncompliant mailings daily
  • Direct the work of team members.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of team members.
  • Monitor KPI's and production to maximise the resource and outputs
  • Monitor and report all Sickness and Absence on daily/weekly report documents, as required.
  • Perform the duties of a Warehouse Operative where this is required.
  • Be responsible for Health &Safety compliance for the team, reporting any breaches of H&S regulations and incidents/accidents.
  • Communicate work practices, procedures and methods to team members, accordingly.
  • Carry out induction and training for new team members as required.
  • Conduct team communication sessions (team briefs).
  • Perform the duties of a warehouse operative where this is required
*Essential Experience:

  • At least 2 years' experience of managing within a Warehousing & Distribution fast paced environment
  • Experience of working in a 24/7 operation
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to communicate in English
*Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working with yard management processes
  • Qualified to operate a Fork Lift truck
*Training/Qualifications*- Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English

  • IT Skills and able to use Microsoft Excel proficiently

£25,876.32 per year
