What the role involves:

The finance team at Alternative Airlines is developing to support the exciting
expansion of the company by scaling up key business processes and reporting, and
introducing the right technology and expertise in the team to ensure longevity and
success for this young and ambitious company.

Our Sales Ledger Assistant role is an essential part of this growth ensuring a high
volume of data is posted and reconciled with robust controls in place for the processes
surrounding the role.

Reporting to the Transactional Finance Lead, your responsibilities will be:

  • Reconciling large volumes of merchant settlement reports to revenue bookings
  • Review and reconciliation of bank statements to merchant settlement reports
  • Ensuring customer settlements are received within agreed terms, and investigating where there are differences
  • Maintenance of customer accounts and transactions across a number of
currencies

  • Posting bookings, cash settlement and fees entries into finance system
  • Assisting the rest of the finance team with regular reporting, and adhoc tasks
where required


Essential skills:


  • Sales Ledger experience
  • Experience in dealing with high volumes of data
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills as a minimum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable skills
  • Experience with detailed allocations and account reconciliation
  • Experience working in a multicurrency environment.
  • Work experience in ecommerce and/or using BNPL providers
