ABOUT THE ROLE


Bentley Mulliner is Bentley's 'House of Bespoke' - where customers can curate and co-create bespoke products and features that inspire individualisation.

There are 3 primary Mulliner business streams - Collections (options and editions), Coachbuilt and Classic.

The Head of VIP Sales will oversee all of Mulliner's sales channels.

Responsible for sales of Mulliner Bespoke content and limited editions via Bentley retailers, and with a global focus on direct Coachbuilt and Classic product sales to Bentley's VIP Customers.

The role holder will ensure we build, develop and maintain strong relationships with our Ultra High Net Worth customer base, leveraging the relationship between Bentley and our Retailers to deliver a world class service that drives value for all parties, ensuring their affinity to the brand is nurtured and developed through direct networking and bespoke events.

The person will also be contributing to the department's product vision and product definition.

The purpose of this role is to cultivate a product and retailer/customer service excellence mindset, with a focus on delivering outstanding products and customer experiences, while driving growth and profitability.


This position is responsible for all aspects of Mulliner revenues, gross profits and contributions, as well as developing the relevant marketing and budgetary financial plans.


The role will work directly with Product Management, Marketing and Finance to propose and gain approval for the Mulliner Collections strategy, and Coachbuilt and Classic product plans, with the Mulliner leadership team and the Bentley board.

These plans will be delivered as Planning Round (PR) submissions including target setting and monitoring.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Building, developing and maintaining a strong network and relationships with Bentley's VIP and UHNW customers- Ensuring the relationship with Bentley and Mulliner is nurtured and developed through direct relationships and bespoke events.- Identifying and converting sales through direct and indirect channels.- Managing and developing relationships with our HNW customer base.- Manage the development of the Mulliner business through Options, Customer Commisions and Limited Editions- Increase retailer sales performance via training, asset development, communications and account management- Work with Sales and Marketing to manage an integrated Pricing Strategy for Mulliner across world markets taking into account exchange rates, taxation issues competitor activity.- Contribute to the development of Mulliner Coachbuilt and Classic product cycle plans;- Develop and manage the Mulliner Collections financial management processes, financial performance and KPI's. (in partnership with the Finance function)- Deliver vehicle and feature sales targets through a product-appropriate retailer offering.- Deliver effective brand building marketing activities for Mulliner to maximise retailer / customer engagement.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Extensive experience of sales generation and commercial management

  • Financially literate with financial analysis capabilities
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of high luxury sector vehicles and associated attributes and differentiators to other vehicle classes and competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and directing a diverse team, establishing strong partnerships in large organisations, with external partners and customers, including motivating complex teams to aligned goals.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a team of colleagues to deliver objectives and outstanding customer service.
  • Demonstrable senior Management experience including the management of complex budget environments.
