Description
Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer.

They are looking to recruit someone to work as an Assembly Operative / Assembler to assemble fabricated parts to make their products.


As a General Production Assembler, you will assist in the day to day assembly of fabricated units / sub units whilst maintaining a high level of housekeeping and build cleanliness.


Salary:
£11.20 per hour + Overtime

Shift pattern: 8.00am - 4.30pm, Monday - Thursday / 8.00am - 3.30pm Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To position, align and fit manufactured / purchased parts to form complete units or subunits.
  • To following engineering assembly drawings.
  • To follow quality specifications of build programme.
  • Utilising basic hand tools including drills, grinders, clamps, cutting tools and rivet guns.
  • To deburr all components prior to assembly.
  • To verify product and build dimensional conformance to engineering drawings using squares, rulers, and measuring equipment.
  • To clean all units / subunits prior to packing and despatch.
  • Any other duties as reasonable requested by management.

Requirements:


  • Basic engineering knowledge, or be mechanically minded with experience in a similar assembly / fabrication / fabricator role.
  • Experience of using hand tools in a work environment.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately.
  • A good team player.
  • Willing to work overtime at short notice.
  • Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic.
  • Attention to detail with good numeracy skills.
This role would suit anyone that has previous experience in a hands-on assembly or fabrication role, e.g. Assembler, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operator, Joiner, Fabrication Operative, Fabricator, Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Engineer, etc.
