The opportunity:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and versatile professional to join our HR team in the role of
Business Partner - Policy, Strategy, and Reward.
This unique position offers the chance to significantly shape our university's HR strategy, with a special emphasis on developing expertise in the pay and reward agenda.
You will work directly alongside two other colleagues in a small team focussed on HR policy and strategy, reward and employee relations.
What you will bring to the role:
You might be an experienced HR Business Partner, an Operations Manager who has overseen Payroll and Pensions, or someone with a strong background in Policy, Strategy, or Reward.
You may be a current specialist looking to broaden your remit.You will have a keen interest in reward and employee relations as part of our wider resourcing and HR agenda.
In this key position, you'll play a crucial role in advancing the university's HR strategy, including innovative pay and reward approaches.
Your efforts will be key to aligning HR policy and strategy with the university's wider objectives, thereby enhancing employee engagement, and making a substantial contribution to our overarching HR vision.

Principal accountabilities:
- Lead policy and HR strategy initiatives to foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Champion and communicate HR strategy and policies universitywide, ensuring understanding, buyin, and effective implementation.
- Lead the development and enhancement of the Reward proposition and programmes, including pensions as part of the reward package, conducting analysis of current practices versus market trends to strategically enhance employee engagement and support the university's resourcing agenda.
- Collaborate and influence across departments and teams, including HR Operations and Finance, to ensure integrated approaches and shared objectives in support of our resourcing, reward and wider HR strategies.
