Key facts
Location:4 days a week visiting sites across London, Oxfordshire and the Home Counties & 1 say a week at Blenheim Office Park, Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire
Salary:
£35-45k depending on experience (based on a 40-hour week)

Hours of Work:
Standard hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-4.30pm on a Friday with a 1-hour lunch break.

Job Requirements:
Due to substantial growth in our company an excellent opportunity has arisen within for an additional Health & Safety Officer
The role will include:
- Promoting a positive Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture to Darke & Taylor employees and our customers
- Providing advice to our site & office management teams
- Conducting Mechanical and Electrical Health & Safety site audits
- Carrying out new staff and work experience inductions
- Continually reviewing H&S training requirements for the company
- Writing and collating Health & Safety training materials
- Delivering Toolbox talks and training
- Reviewing existing controls & procedures, and updating where necessary
- Reviewing and monitoring Risk & Method statements
- Creating and monitoring records/statistics for H&S trends within the company and implementing positive changes
- Accident, Incident & Near Miss reporting and investigating
- Carrying out Occupational Health & Wellbeing meetings with staff
- Communicating to H&S updates/Alerts to all staff
- Establishing, developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers
Skills and Experience:
- Ideally certified with NEBOSH in Construction, if not we can offer training.
- Clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- A good working knowledge of MS office suite & ideally iAuditor
- Good communication and literacy skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Must be able to work proactively on their own and as part of a teams
- An understanding of ISO 9001 and 45001 is desirable
