We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent
Technical Claims Specialist to join our Local Authorities in Sheffield.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Working Hours:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Olive Grove Rd, Lowfield, Sheffield S2 3GE

Role Overview:


As a Technical Claims Specialist, you will oversee and manage claims on the Streets Ahead project, working closely with 3rd parties and internal teams.

Your thorough approach and dedication to improving caseloads will be vital to our success. This role offers unique and varied claims to handle, providing opportunities for growth within the organisation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance with Amey's systems, processes, and procedures for claims handling, liability, and insurance matters.
  • Independently manage key commercial tasks and exercise cost control over claims.
  • Identify potential risks and claim variations proactively.
  • Keep contemporaneous records to support claims and inform stakeholders of material risks.
  • Lead on Third Party Claims costs and Highways Claims liability decisions.
  • Process Statutory Damage Claims within deadlines.
  • Discuss caseloads with Claims Handlers and respond to Customer Service enquiries.
  • Handle subsidence claims and lead on NRSWA and Drainage claims.
  • Assist Business Improvement Manager with reporting and litigated claims.
  • Lead on Project Network Damage claims with Third Parties.
  • Proven experience in technical claims management, handling claimant and defended work.
  • Methodical, able to manage time and prioritise tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Degree or CII membership
