Job Purpose Statement
Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

You'll be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of strategic, integrated, compelling and competitive product marketing messaging and positioning for a number of specific investment capabilities.

Ensuring clear alignment to the broader marketingstrategy and corporate messaging, as well as contributing directly to the business objectives across all relevant distribution channels, and countries.

The role also plays a part in working closely together with relevant members of the Product & Content Marketingteam to ensure the brand's overall content production reinforces our marketing messages, as appropriate.


Role Responsibilities
How you'll spend your time...

  • Provide strategic product marketing communications, positioning, and programmes / initiatives for a number of specific investment capabilities. Development and implementation of product marketing programmes / initiatives and drive measurable results, thatsupport the broader business objectives, ensuring appropriate buyin, awareness and understanding within the wider marketing team, as well as across the business, to enable successful delivery externally as well as in line with Columbia Threadneedle risk appetiteand policies.
  • Proactively assess emerging and evolving relevant positioning and approaches to ensure the brand is on or ahead of broader marketing trends, and clearly supporting the commercial objectives of the business.
  • Consistently lead by example and in line with company values and policies with immediate team as well as broader marketing team, and stakeholders driving positive engagement throughout.
  • Collaborate with relevant distribution and investment leaders to understand overall business, product, and distribution strategy, aligning these with the broader marketing objectives, and effectively managing stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively collaborate with wider marketing team, to help deliver on the broader marketing strategy, key global initiatives, etc.
  • Constructively challenge the norm to deliver significant step changes in client experience and commercial results.
  • Serve as an expert and advocate for appropriate use of our brand and product messaging in accordance with broader product messaging and positioning, and brand and style guidelines.

Key Capabilities
To be successful in this role you will have...

  • Proven experience of investment management product knowledge within specific capabilities as well as strong understanding of relevant key target segments able to gain immediate credibility and hit the ground running.
  • Unapologetically client focused, yet commercially driven with strong understanding of financial drivers / business requirements, and strong budget management skills.
  • Strong reputation as a sophisticated product marketing expert as demonstrated through past results.
  • Good project management skills with a track record of delivery to time and within budget.
