Kenect Recruitment are currently looking for Press Setters and Operators to work with our client based in Smethwick.


Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team.

As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of presses to produce high-quality products.

This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with precision.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate presses according to specifications and production requirements
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
  • Load materials onto the press and unload finished products
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot issues with the press and perform basic maintenance tasks
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to understand technical drawings
  • Ability to fabricate, assemble, weld, and handle materials
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling is a plus
