Therefore, we have implemented a new role into each of our operational divisions - a Divisional Induction Facilitator and Pastoral Support Officer.

The purpose of this role is:

  • To support the robust process and positive experience for our clinical staff onboarding into their new roles.

    The post holder will be responsible for working with the division, Academy, and key stakeholders to be the main point of contact in relation to supporting each professional through the recruitment process and building relationships from interview through to 6 months of arriving in the Trust.

  • Will act as a supportive link between the new starter and the service they have been recruited into to ensure a smooth supportive induction period. The post holder will also work with clinicians and practice development staff as new starters progress in their roles as part of their preceptorship period/ first six months, supporting the development of confidence and capability in delivering autonomous, community based care.
  • To form good working relations with key team members and wider organisational colleagues to enable quality pastoral support provision including practice and development staff, BAME networks, Employee Health, Clinical Managers, Locality Leads/Matrons & their teams and Human Resources.

The post holder should be able to form good working relations with key team members and wider organisational colleagues to enable quality pastoral support provision including practice and development staff, BAME networks, Employee Health, Clinical Managers, Locality Leads/Matrons & their teams and Human Resources.
