Claims Auditor (Home Insurance) - Home-based - UK remote working - up to £30k per annum, flexible working, discounted Insurance products for family and friends, in-house wellbeing workshops, home-working starter kit, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays,PMI, Life Assurance, Annual Bonus and pension


A small but expanding Home Insurance Provider who specialise in on-line home insurance within the UK market who are experts in insuring people in the non-standard property market, have a need for an experienced Claims Specialist to join their ManagerialTeam working closely with the Senior Claims Auditor and Technical Lead.

This is a new role due to the success and growth of the business. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where change happens regularly.


The team consists of Insurance Industry specialists alongside a wide mix of technologists, data scientists and customer and marketing experts from a range of backgrounds and industries with an ambition and shared innovation to make a difference helping peopleprotect their homes.

The role will be home-based, full remote working offering flexibility balancing the business needs to your own creating a work-life balance.

It is a full-time role 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.


Key responsibilities:


  • Support the Technical Claims Lead and Senior Technical Claims Auditor in the day to day claims audit and monitoring of the TPA provider and Supply Chain
  • There will be a strong focus on both the financial performance of the service and the wider operational handling and service delivery
  • You will help and assist measure first rate customer experience and control of indemnity spend
  • Help and assist carry out financial movement audits of TPA and Supplier claims files
  • Look at closed and ongoing file audits including review of financial performance, performance against SLA's, adherence to policy T&C's, review of proactivity in handling and treating customers fairly and review settlement methods
  • Review and respond to nondelegated authority claim referrals from the TPA team and Supply Chain
  • Review and respond to technical claims referrals from customer relations associated with customer complaints
  • Targeted audits of the claims process, perils and handling practices to troubleshoot, identify trends or improvement opportunities
  • Assist the Technical Claims Lead and Senior Technical Claims Auditor in oversight of the TPA team and suppliers handling the claims to ensure the required quality and experience is in place

About you:


  • An understanding of Household/Property claims with a number of years' experience working in a claims handling or loss adjusting environment handling claims up to £50k
  • Claims Auditing experience within the Insurance Claims/Loss Adjusting Industry as either a Team Leader/Manager or Auditor
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop working relationships with operational and management staff of external suppliers
  • An understanding of property repairs and familiarity with a schedule of rates approach to claim repair costs
  • Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
