  • Dayshift
  • Monday to Thursday 6am2:15pm, Friday 6am12:45pm
Smart Manufacturing Solutions limited are recruiting Plater/Welders for our client based in Seaham.

Reporting directly to the Welding Team Leader, the Welder is responsible for the following:
Supporting the Welding Team Leader through daily welding duties inclusive of:

  • Skilled position welding work
  • Assembling component parts using hand/power tools
  • MIG welding processes
  • Competent reading of engineering drawings and understanding weld specifications
  • Daily PPMs (daily section check sheets)
  • Daily 5s activities and good housekeeping techniques
  • Supporting first off checks, end of line checks and roaming checks, using technical measuring equipment as required
  • Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements within the organisation
  • Any adhoc duties as required from time to time by the Production Supervisor or other members of the management team

Rate £13.79 p/h. Overtime available

Salary:
£13.79 per hour
