The Opportunity
Initially available on a 6-12 month contract


We're on the look out for an experienced Veterinary professional to join our Companion Animal Products (CAP) territory sales team.

The role holder will be tasked with professionally selling, managing and developing the business potential of our pharmaceuticalproducts within the UK CAP sales division to a defined group of Veterinary customers.


The role is field based and covers areas within the north of England and Scotland, including Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Northumberland and Scottish Borders.


  • Championing our range of Companion Animal Products (CAP) to Veterinary practices within defined sales territory
  • Achieving territory sales objectives, respecting product mix, prices and promotional offers
  • Delivering sales campaigns and activities as part of defined Account Management strategy, including; business interactions with customers & commercial conversations, delivering sales / product presentations in person in practice / virtually, aligned withSales, Marketing & Technical and defined Sales Objectives
  • Managing diary of business appointments and travel to maximise productivity optimising territory planning, and effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) SalesForce
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with clients through appropriate business solutions and ethical sales methods
  • Responding to inbound sales enquiries & updating customer records in CRM SalesForce
  • Conducting competitor analysis monitoring and reporting on competitor activities as required
  • Attending and presenting at all customer meetings, congress and events to educate prospective clients and promote Dechra's product range
  • Competent in negotiation and influencing
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and results driven
  • Veterinary related degree qualification
  • Clinical experience in practice
  • Previous experience of pharmaceutical sales is desirable
  • Hold a full UK driving license
