**Job Description
- Managing ongoing and incoming work that affects the Visualisation Asset department
- Tracking task progression of other team members and assisting said tasks when necessary
- Liaising with supervisors and other team leads to ensure smooth running of the department
- Assisting with creating required hard surface and environmental assets when appropriate
- Developing said assets to work seamlessly within the company pipeline
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal documentation and processes
- Mindful of best practices to maintain quality control of assets in the pipeline
- Understanding and interpreting Art Department plans and conceptual illustrations
- Assisting with Bidding and other light production level tasks
- Using a variety of techniques to compose and animate sequences, delivering high quality storytelling animations, and well composed shots to a client brief
- Creating shots and sequences from storyboards and/or script pages to enhance story
- Animating cameras, creatures, props, and vehicles through both keyframe animation and utilising motion capture data
- Creating techvis for onset reference and postvis following a shoot
- Generating scene layouts within an environment, including position and timing of assets and camera placement
- Contributing creatively with ideas to enhance the storytelling, action and visual aspect of shots and sequences Working with basic FX animation
- 5+ years production experience in a VFX and/or visualisation
- Able to work at one of the major UK film studios (work may be based in London, or at the UK studios all based around the M25)
- Comprehensive knowledge of animation in Maya including use of animation layers
- Comprehensive knowledge of Unreal including the sequencer and blueprints
- Understanding of physical limits in realworld cinematography
- Basic knowledge of physical shoot setups, and familiarity with onset equipment
- Team orientated and able to take direction from Supervisor
- Adaptable and flexible and accepting of changes
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Creative problem solver with good attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality results
- Experience with the following are desirable:
- Basic particle animation
- Generalist 3d skills i.e. simple modelling / texturing
- Virtual camera systems
- Motion Capture Suits Running realtime virtual production sessions with clients
