ITC F35 Maintenance Instructor - Mechanical


Location:

Salary:
£44,000+ depending on experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Providing Mechanical academic instruction and support to students in the classroom
  • Delivering practical instruction and support to students on a range of training devices to facilitate Mechanical training in Engine Ground Operator and the Low Observable technician courses
  • Delivering training in accordance with the UK version of the program provided course guide and as approved by UK Training Requirements Authority
  • Administering course Unit Assessments (UA)
  • Being available for student assistance and support, including carrying out student remedial training, revision and UA retests
  • Recording student progress against the relevant flexible training plan and participate in the signingoff of training
  • Liaising with the Training System Support Centre Lead for development and improving courseware
  • Committing to continuous professional development in accordance with the requirements of JSP 822 and be an active participant in the Instructor Assessment process

Your skills and experiences:


Essential

  • A proven Military background, with experience on Fast Jet programmes to include F35 Lightning II
  • Proven knowledge of aircraft systems relative to respective trade to include knowledge of UK aviation regulations in a military environment
  • An existing level of instructional experience and be qualified to a minimum equivalent of Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3 in instructional techniques. Specifically (DTC course
  • Defence Trainer Course) or (Level 3 CET Certificate of education and training)

Desirable

  • Experience in F35 Mechanical systems to include Engine Operator and Low observable maintenance
  • Experience with F35 Lightning II training systems (TMS)

The team:


As a F-35 Maintenance Instructor - Mechanical, you will be working within the team responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training as well as supporting the design of the training solutions.

As part of the design aspects you will be involved in helping to shape solutions to ensure training is part of a fully integrated capability that supports operational requirements and integrates new teaching methodologies and technologies.


This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to join the Lightning II program, a leading-edge capability, in the early years of service with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
