Experienced Finance Manager for Golf and Leisure sector.


Accountancy Matters (Golf & Leisure) Ltd is 3 years into an exciting journey to create a vibrant team of finance professionals looking after accounts on an outsourced basis for golf and leisure clubs, experience in the hospitality and retail environmentis preferable.

Due to the expansion of the business, we are looking for someone who wants an exciting new challenge.

You should be adaptable and happy to interact with a team at more than one location and have a flexible approach to working with multiple sets of accountsconcurrently.


The role provides a great variety of work with the flexibility of remote work, blended with client visits in the Bishop's Stortford area and weekly attendance to the company's office at Hartley Wintney.

Overview of Role


We are looking for individuals who are ACCA or CIMA qualified or working towards Chartered status and have held a finance managers role or equivalent for a minimum of 2 years.


The varied nature of the role requires an elevated level of interpersonal skills as this is very much a client facing position, working closely with your geographically based cluster of Clients and their respective on-site people.


Previous experience of managing multi company accounts would be advantageous and the ability to plan and manage a busy workload, working competently to deadlines is crucial.


  • Comfortable with all aspects of accounting, including day to day data entry, invoicing, tax, and VAT returns.
  • Experience in producing month end accounts.
  • A broad knowledge of accountancy software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and SAGE.
  • Migration of accounting software packages and forwardthinking view of software changes and advances.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to deal with partial exemption VAT.
  • Experience with payroll
  • Willing to travel with in your geographical cluster of accounts.
  • Interaction and enjoyment of working and succeeding within our team.
