Edward Mann are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, UK-based SME Healthcare Group - This Financial Accountant position will encompass a range of responsibilities covering a major business division within the Group.

This role is available on a temp toperm basis. The initial temp contract is anticipated to last 3 months.

This is a well-rounded accounting position including Management Accounting, Business Partnering, Budgeting & Forecasting, Financial Analysis, Statutory Reporting, etc (full list of responsibilities below)


Location / Hybrid Working Model:


  • 4 days WFH / 1 day working in London office (Green Park or Dulwich)
- *occasional / once a month travel to Manchester Head Office*Our client has offices in London & Manchester - this position will need to work in the London office once a week, and there would be a less frequent visit to the Manchester office, to visit the group team (circa once a month) - other days will have the flexibilityto Work From Home. Travel costs are covered.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Prepare accurate management accounts and statutory reporting, to aid key decision making, including monthend and yearend journals
  • Financial Analysis, supporting overall business growth and profitability
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and planning process
  • Take responsibility for cashflow and the production of quarterly forecasts
  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
  • CAPEX reporting
  • Consistently ensure compliance with all required financial regulations
  • Continually look to review existing accounting processes, driving improvements to increase efficiencies where possible and necessary
  • Review liabilities and company assets
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Calculation, submission and payment of VAT
  • Purchase invoice maintenance and preparation of payment runs
  • Sales invoices maintenance
  • Bank and intercompany reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Adhod projects, as and when required
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar level role, taking ownership for accounting, including balance sheet reconciliation, management accounts production and statutory reporting experience
  • Strong MS Excel skillset
