Description

This is a newly created role responsible for developing SQL data led solutions to support a wide range of data quality, management and classification initiatives.


The idea profile will ideally be degree holder in a numerical or IT degree with experience operating within a BI development or related data management environment, executing SQL solutions to support data objectives.

What you will be doing:


  • Delivering data led solutions to support and enhance data quality and BI reporting standards
  • Focus on concept, design & build of data extraction process, ensuing work is of the highest quality supported by code reviews (SQL) and Dimensional Modelling.
  • Ownership of testing new SQL code to ensure correct results are achieved before being incorporated into a live data warehouse environment,
  • Understands user/system interfaces and translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems
  • Ensures all deliverables are well documented, reusable, tested and conform to agreed architecture design patterns and coding standards.
  • Undertakes analytical activities required to support the development and maintenance of the operational data lake
  • Define and manage business and technical quality metrics and design a Data Quality Dashboard

What you will need to be considered for interview:

  • Ability and experience supporting data management & integrity projects via SQL
  • Experience building data extraction and data mapping solutions
  • An understanding of basic design and development of data stores and warehouses
  • Comfortable analysing and reporting on large/complex datasets
  • Understanding of data governance & GDPR
  • Analytically focused and detail conscious
  • Strong stakeholder management & communication skills
  • Able to conduct requirements gathering and guide business users
  • Excellent numerical / IT degree (minimum 2:1) desirable

Remuneration:


  • Base salary £35,000 £45,000
