About the role:


As our team grows, we have created this new role to bring in a social expert to plan, develop, curate and measure brilliant social media posts that align with our campaigns and business goals.

From creating a social strategy, writing scripts, and shooting authentic videos to driving customer UGC, you will find new and best ways to resonate with our core age 60+ audience.


You will own organic social from day one, and over six months, help to control performance social on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

You'll have a solid appetite to hit targets, measure results, and constantly optimise our effectiveness.

Exceptional knowledge ensures you understand the latest technologies and social trends and have the experience to influence the team.

You will also need to collaborate and build excellent working relationships across internal departments such as Customer Engagement and Marketplace.

Strong planner, analyser, writer, and creative.


Key goals and objectives:


  • Build wellinformed and highly engaging organic social for a 60+ audience
  • Support paid social, our most successful channel
  • Connect our TV and radio to a new social audience

In your first three months, you will:

  • Fully understand our business, marketing and brand objectives
  • Create a strategy and action plan for our organic social
  • Test and learning, start to gain a larger, more engaged audience
  • Connect performance and abovetheline campaigns to social

In your first six months, you will:

  • Own organic social and start to harness paid social
  • Make brilliant connections across the business and with customers, getting great content ontap.

In your first year, you will:

  • Have changed the way we do things, utilising AI to advance our creative process
  • Have complete ownership and control over Facebook for paid social
  • Have a large bank of the most successful templates, tools and authentic content
  • Plan six months ahead, with the ability to predict success

Key responsibilities:


  • Plan shoots, graphics, animations, collaborating with a delivery team
  • Execute scripts and shoots, work with design creatives on graphics
  • Measure performance and show proof on a shared platform

Essential skills and experience:


  • Previous experience in a proven successful social media role
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
  • The ability to work with image and video editing software (Photoshop, Canva, Premier Pro)
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer or Later)
  • Strong understanding of social media KPIs
  • Have a testandlearn mindset and strong work ethic; enthusiasm is a must
  • Writing accurate and highly engaging scripts and prompts

Desirable skills and nice to haves:

  • A genuine interest in antiques, collectables and vintage
  • Handson art direction, graphic design and photography skills
