The Facility Support Officer role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

    The role

The difference our new Facility Support Officer will make
As a Facility Support Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

You will be part of the the Dockside Management Organisation which forms part of the Submarine Refit Complex (SRC) and 5 Basin Plant Management Group within the Submarine Business Unit.

The team is responsible for the production and implementation of safety case controls throughout the complex and berths.

  • Day to day, you'll facilitate personnel and vehicle access within the SRC and 5 Basin nontidal X-Berths. This will include extensive exposure to and management of the Nuclear Facilities Access Application, including management of the associated agility items.

    Essential experience
  • Computer literate with a basic knowledge of MS Office packages
  • Experience within engineering maintenance facilities
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to intervene and challenge personnel at all levels of the business were necessary.
  • Awareness of basic health and safety principles
