Heckmondwike HQ with travel to client sites as required

Hours of work: 40hrs per week

This company is an exciting fast-growing managed services organisation based in Yorkshire.

We are a Microsoft & Sophos Silver Partner and provide IT support, Cyber Security, and IT consultancy to a range of clients across the UK.

The Role


In line with the organisation's growth plans, we are looking to add to our growing team of support engineers in the Managed Services team and have a requirement for a 2nd Line Technical Engineer.

Reporting to the Head of IT, the role involves problem-solving, excellent telephone skills, remote support, and teamwork. A keen understanding of business systems and the ability to troubleshoot are vital.

We are looking for someone who has a technical supportbackground and an in-depth understanding of Microsoft environments both in the cloud and on-premise.

In addition, other IT support tasks and project work will form part of the role as we continue to expand our client base and implement new projects for existing clients.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to be exposed to new technologies as well asto contribute to the ongoing development of the business


The Person

  • At least 3+ years of experience in an IT services support role
  • Exposure to and understanding of Windows automation (scripting, imaging, installation and management)
  • Excellent knowledge of antivirus and backup management technologies
  • Excellent problemsolving and diagnosis skills
  • Ability to manage and coordinate changing priorities, understand what good looks like and be capable of multitasking
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst at the same time recognising the need to be a team player
  • Able to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for systems and issues
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for excellence in delivery
  • A flexible approach to work duties and hours with the ability to attend other sites when necessary
  • Current valid UK driving licence
