Job Description Build Engineer | SC | DV | High Level Security Clearance
Position Description

We are looking for a Build Engineer to maintain multiple environments and provide support and technical input to various teams on the programme.

The role will be based full-time on client-site at locations near Reading, Berkshire therefore direct interactionwith the client is expected.

The programme requires UK HLC or We are predominantly interested in people who hold UK HLC, but will consider people with SC clearance who are willing to obtain HLC in the future?? You will be a motivated self-starter able to effectivelymanage their time & mentor junior members of the team.

You will need to have good communication & documentation skills.
Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Installation and environment maintenance
  • Problem investigation and resolution
  • Hardware and software integration
  • Documentation authoring
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Track record of working in a secure environment, deploying and supporting IT infrastructures
Build and Maintenance skills
In-depth knowledge of VMware Virtualisation, Windows Server and client versions
Broad understanding of MS product suite
Ability to handle demands from multiple complex environments and effectively prioritise tasks in a Support Environment
Good analysis and problem-solving skills
Track record of the integration of different software solutions on various hardware platforms
Be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of Management Tools
IP / Firewall technologies
Azure DevOps
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python)
Linux Redhat (preferable)
NetApp - Backup (beneficial)
Borland Application suite

Shifts/Out of Hours:
Permanent staff will be required to work across 3 x shift patterns and are as follows:7am to 3pm
9am to 5pm
11am to 7pm
In addition, for a temporary period there will be a need for some out of hours work.
