Hours:


40 per week:
Monday - Friday (varied shifts with 8am and 10am starts).

Working every other Saturday (with a day off in the week).


Salary:

£26,000.00 per year, plus overtime (plus salary review on passing probation).

We provide car hire & car replacement services for chauffeur and private hire businesses, car manufacturers, car dealerships and insurance companies.


Whilst our reach has extended beyond our London headquarters to the whole of the UK, our approach is as personal as it has always been.

Our team strive to deliver a service that fulfils the most specific requirements, so that our customers enjoy the perfect luxury car experience at every step of the journey.


We have a small team of Valeters working in our Elstree garage who take responsibility for ensuring our fleet of vehicles are at the expected high presentation standards and available to meet delivery requirements.


Key tasks:


  • Prioritise cleaning based on vehicle availability or delivery requirements
  • Prepare and clean vehicles to the required standard ready for rental.
  • Identify and check for vehicle maintenance requirements and organise as necessary
  • Complete any basic maintenance that can be done on site
  • Communicate vehicle status and escalate any damage/maintenance that deems it unroadworthy or potential customer complaint to the Manager.
  • Identify any faults within the garage including equipment and report to Manager.
  • Organise garage working area to ensure high levels of cleanliness and safety
  • Ensure there are sufficient supplies of cleaning products and request additional when required
  • Take responsibility to ensure the security of garage area, vehicle keys and vehicles.
  • Assist the Driver team on deliveries/collections of vehicles, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Represent LCH and LCH clients in a professional manner to customers at all times.

Experience required to be successful in this role will include:

  • Ability to follow work procedures
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude
  • Knowledge of relevant Road Traffic Acts
  • Ability to use / complete paperwork as required
  • Good customer service skills
  • Held a full clean driving license of over 2 years
  • Good geographical knowledge
