Description
I'm partnered with a leading, global asset manager who're looking for an accomplished fund accountant to join them for a maternity cover contract.
The business is looking for a strong fund finance professional who can assist with overseeing the relationship with outsourced fund accounting providers, work with a global team to continue the rollout out the firms' technological initiatives and providetechnical knowledge and expertise on review of new investment types.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of functions performed by outsourced Fund Accounting providers. Ensures daily deliverable service levels are met and outputs are accurate.
- Assumes ownership of all assigned accounting tasks, including accounting transactions, fund level analysis and ETF valuation activities.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external clients and business partners, including Investment Management, Investment Operations and external Fund Accounting providers.
- Monitors various controls to ensure adherence to all Fund Accounting procedures while demonstrating awareness and understanding of risk management practices, sharing ideas and best practices.
- Documents any areas of control weaknesses and recommended improvement measures to the management team. Performs work flow and procedural reviews. Develops new procedures and documents work flow changes.
- Participates in divisional and departmental initiatives to continuously improve oversight processes and strengthen engagement.
- Consistently secures sensitive information in accordance with guidelines and is prepared to implement contingency plans.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possess an undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting or finance. Or possess an appropriate combination of training and experience
- ACCA or ACA qualification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of business related experience.
