You will help provide positive encouragement and support to move away from / maintain their lives away from the criminal justice system and substance use.
  • Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Work with community based service partners to promote opportunities including work, training, education and peer based engagement.
  • Promote an inclusive offer, working flexibly to meet the needs of those who are in employment, education or have commitments requiring a flexible approach.
  • Provide support to individuals leaving the prison estate abstinent to maintain this in the community, offering a timetable of activities offering meaningful use of time, and providing positive progress and stability.
  • Respond to any changes in substance use or offending needs, including escalating behaviours or positive progression no longer requiring open access support.
  • Work with those accessing Recovery + to identify and respond to areas for development.
  • Provide update reports to probation and wider colleagues as required within the individual's conditions.
  • Work with Recovery + colleagues to review the offer and ensure equity across areas.
